Funding Our Mission:
The Arts Foundation/OGEP budget approximately $75-$80,000 per year to fund the Visual and Performing Arts programs at Oak Grove and Willowside schools.
The Arts Foundation raises the funds to meet our budget in a variety of ways. The backbone of our efforts is our Partners Pledge Program: district families and businesses pledge monthly or yearly donations to directly support visual and performing arts at Oak Grove and Willowside schools.
This year we will hold two fundraisers, and as always, work together with PTO at the annual spring Dinner/Dance/Auction. Our October “Oktoberfest” fundraiser at Rio Nido Roadhouse will feature the music of The Pulsators, with a jazz set by The Pyrotones. Many thanks to our Band teacher, Rick Clifford, who is donating these performances of his popular Bay Area bands. In April we have tentatively scheduled a Dia de los Niños event at Oak Grove School. Last year’s event was a successful fundraiser, and wonderful celebration of Children’s Day thanks to the tremendous efforts of our Latino parent community.
We thank all who have supported the Fine Arts and Music programs in our schools through their generous donations. We welcome you to join our foundation and come to our monthly meetings.
